Power Plant

The power plant is ideally located close to Sidhnai Barrage at Abdul Hakim, District Khanewal and is connected with Pakistan’s highest voltage transmission 500 KV line connecting Multan and Gatti. The Power Plant consists of Siemens V.94.2 Gas turbines and Steam Turbine (in 2+2+1 combined cycle configuration) and is designed for base load operation, using RLNG as fuel. The power plant has the capability of running on LFO (Diesel) and a storage stock is kept at the plant site for any operation on LFO. The plant continues to display high level of efficiency, due to world-class maintenance regime and practices, despite being in service for more than 23 years.
